Dr. Richard L. Benkin
Dr. Richard L. Benkin is the author of A Quiet Case of Ethnic Cleansing: the Murder of Bangladesh’s Hindus and What is Moderate Islam? Dr. Benkin is a well known American human rights activist who actively participated in efforts to release Bangladeshi journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, who was unfairly imprisoned after writing articles on the rise of Islamic radicalism in Bangladesh. Dr. Benkin, like Choudhury, is an advisory board member of the Islam-Israel Fellowship. Dr. Benkin was recently in Silchar for a fellowship with The Northeast India Company. He has created this graphic narrative set as a primary portrayal of ethnic and religious cleansing in Bangladesh.
